Expressing Your Love – vol. 9
My main philosophy for helping couples create their wedding ceremony is to remind them to include people, readings, vows, and traditions that mean something to them and their relationship. After all, this is the first chapter of THEIR marriage and it should reflect them in every way. I provide a couple of different libraries of readings for couples to choose from because the Googling of weddings readings can be daunting and time-consuming. I continue to do the research to find different poems, blessings, scripture, and excerpts from books to provide options for the couple.
Here’s another favorite blessing that I love for couples to share on their wedding day and remember in the years ahead.
Now you will feel no rain,
Apache Wedding Blessing
for each other of you will be
the shelter for the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
for each of you will be
the warmth to the other.
Now you are two persons,
but there is only one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling,
to enter into the days of
your life together,
and may your days be
good and long upon the earth.
