They promised to keep supporting one another through life’s highs and lows, to laugh often, and to always make time for the simple pleasures, from long walks with their dog Stanley to cozy nights playing cribbage or Taco Cat.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the blessing of the rings—with water from Lake Michigan, a nod to their shared life in Chicago and all the adventures they’ve shared there. Their relationship is full of laughter and shared adventures, whether they’re exploring a new country, walking Stanley, or simply relaxing at home. Ethan’s favorite memory? Traveling to Germany, where they got engaged—complete with Oktoberfest festivities, marathon runs, and a magical proposal in a garden they later jogged through together.
