In my preparation of launching Zen Events, I needed to produce some images to share with you here on my site and also on Instagram. I knew that I wanted to work with Jenn from Jennifer Kathryn Photography. She is a savvy business owner, ridiculously talented, and is a trusted friend. She and I had so much fun collaborating on this photo shoot at the Chicago History Museum. We opted for a theme of Timeless Romance and then worked with the rest of the team to bring in the additional details to complete the look. How amazing are these images?
I want to extend my thanks to everyone involved with this photo shoot…Jennifer Kathryn Photography, the Chicago History Museum, Factor Chosen for providing us with Sydney & Aireal, Exquisite Designs, Alyssa Kristin, Formally Modern Tuxedo, Allie Hasson, Tablescapes, and Whisked by Cate. I will be posting about each of these amazing businesses, but for today, I want to let you know more about Jennifer Kathryn Photography and the Chicago History Museum.
Jenn and I met many years ago, and through business meetings and working with couples, we have become the best of friends. I think Jenn’s biggest strengths are her ability to connect with other people and her passion for life and social justice. She likes to spend time with couples to understand their journey as individuals and as a couple, and then be able to showcase their love in the photographs that she takes. Jenn never takes a moment for granted, and while she is a thoughtful person, she can always be found laughing. Any couple is lucky to work with her!
When I thought about my brand photo shoots, the Chicago History Museum was at the top of my list in what venue I wanted to showcase. I am inspired by all of Chicago’s architecture, and their event spaces have such a timeless quality. One of my favorite features is the stained glass in the Chicago Room. In a ceremony set-up, they remind me of being in a church. My second favorite feature is the chandelier in the Robinson Gallery. I always pause whenever I walk into that room. Isn’t it breathtaking? The Chicago History Museum is a venue that offers the rare opportunity of an outdoor space. It’s idyllic for an outdoor ceremony, cocktail-ing outdoors on a nice evening, or even taking the perfect photo together after sunset. Finally, the team at Chicago History Museum is a joy to work with and will make sure your special day is everything you dreamed it would be.
Thank you again to the amazing team that put together this styled photo shoot!
