Choosing Each Other: Rebecca & John Paul’s Ivy Room Wedding Ceremony
Rebecca & John Paul’s love story began the way so many modern romances do—on an app. From the very first conversation, it was clear there was something special there. Their first date at Dollop Coffee turned into hours of easy conversation, so much so that John Paul completely missed watching a Chicago Blackhawks game (a true testament to how captivating Rebecca was from the start).
From that first coffee date, their relationship unfolded naturally—full of laughter, curiosity, and genuine care for one another. As their officiant, it was a joy to tell their story in a way that felt honest, warm, and unmistakably them.

Shared Memories and Everyday Magic
Rather than grand gestures alone, Rebecca & John Paul’s relationship shines brightest in the everyday moments. Morning walks. Grocery store aisles. Finishing an entire TV series in a single day. Cooking together, dancing in their living room, laughing until it hurts.
They’ve traveled together—exploring Nashville, Hawaii, and new experiences neither would have tried alone (including line dancing, which John Paul now fondly associates with Rebecca’s encouragement and love). They’ve celebrated holidays with both families, welcomed their puppy Skip into their lives, and created a sense of home wherever they are.
These were the moments highlighted during the ceremony—the quiet, real, beautiful pieces of a life shared.
A Commitment Rooted in Partnership
Rebecca & John Paul chose a non-religious ceremony that centered on intention, choice, and commitment. Their vows reflected a shared hope: to walk through life side by side, embracing both the joyful and challenging seasons, always returning to friendship, humor, and love.
They spoke about the future not as something distant or abstract, but as something they’re already living—one filled with family, adventures, growth, and deep respect for one another.

A Joyful Beginning
As their officiant, it was an honor to stand with Rebecca & John Paul as they began this next chapter. Their ceremony was heartfelt, joyful, and deeply personal—an authentic reflection of who they are and how they love. Congrats on an amazing 1.5+ years of marriage, Rebecca & John Paul!
